Holidays
UTSW will establish a set paid holiday schedule, so employees will no longer have to wait for the annual holiday schedule to be posted to plan time off. Employees will also receive three floating holidays per year. Floating holiday hours will be available for use on the first day of the first pay period each fiscal year (with supervisor pre-approval).

What happens if a holiday falls on a weekend?
- Holidays that fall on Saturday are observed on Friday.
- Holidays that fall on Sunday are observed on Monday.
What are the significant changes?
- UTSW will provide three floating holidays.
- Floating holiday hours can be used on the first day of the pay period each fiscal year.
- Floating holiday hours do not affect the maximum cap.
- Floating holiday hours are not eligible for separation pay.
