Protected Expression on Campus

It is the policy of UT Southwestern to ensure that students, student organizations, residents, postdoctoral scholars appointed to academic training positions, faculty members, employees, and members of the public may engage in expressive activities on campus in accordance with applicable law, including Texas Education Code Section 51.9315. UT Southwestern’s report reflects its implementation of the requirements under Section 51.9315.

Subject to the policy and procedures set forth in FSS-103 Protected Expression on Campus of the UT Southwestern Handbook of Institutional Policies and Operating Procedures, any person may engage in expressive activities in common outdoor areas of UT Southwestern’s campus, including by responding to the expressive activities of others.
