Child/Adolescent Fellowship
Our mission is to enhance the education of APPs in pediatric psychiatry through advanced clinical and didactic training to better serve our community. Our 2-cohort, 12-month postgraduate program focuses on children and adolescents needing psychiatric care. Training experiences through Children’s Medical Center, Dallas, encompass settings that include inpatient, emergency, partial hospitalization, and outpatient clinics to offer a wide range of ages, acuity, and diagnoses. Extended learning through didactics, offered every other week for a half day by experts in child and adolescent psychiatry, complements our well-rounded program. Didactics offer topics such as assessment and management of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, autism, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Fellows choose a scholarly project to complete through the year-long training and present to faculty during the month of graduation.
