Ben Reynolds, Ph.D.

Dr. Reynolds leads a centralized office that works closely with UT Southwestern faculty, staff, and administration to cultivate systems of continuous quality improvement that support university and programmatic accreditation, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and reporting requirements, and empower academic leaders with the data they need to help the institution flourish. He has more than 15 years of experience in higher education, with significant accomplishments as a teacher, researcher, and administrator. He is deeply committed to supporting an environment where excellent teaching and innovative research produce transformative experiences for students and long-term benefits to the institution and community. Before coming to UT Southwestern, Dr. Reynolds held various leadership positions at the Medical University of South Carolina, including most recently Director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. Dr. Reynolds holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.Div. from Duke University, and a B.A. from Wofford College.

Nisha Mathews, Ed.D.

Dr. Mathews supports the development and implementation of institutional assessment and accreditation initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing the effectiveness of academic programs. Prior to this role, Dr. Mathews served in Graduate Medical Education (GME), overseeing ACGME and Texas Medical Board-accredited programs. She worked extensively with ACGME accreditation and compliance, and played a key role in streamlining onboarding processes, policy development, and program assessments. Her efforts contributed to improving operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards to support the success of graduate medical education trainees and institutional goals. Dr. Mathews earned her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership and M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration. Her passion lies in fostering educational excellence and creating opportunities for students to succeed in higher education through thoughtful program development and institutional support.
