Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Accreditation & Assessment

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Accreditation, and Assessment serves as a central administrative support system that facilitates UTSW’s commitment to excellence, accountability, and continuous quality improvement in the academic enterprise. The primary functions of the office include:

  • Ensuring that all academic programs, student support services, and administrative units engage in best practices for outcomes assessment
  • Providing leadership to facilitate institutional accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
  • Providing support for program level accreditation with professional accreditors
  • Providing expertise and process management in the approval of new academic programs and modifications to existing programs
  • Coordinating the reporting of key academic data to state, federal, and professional organizations
  • Coordinating general institutional research as well as data analysis and visualization for key institutional datasets
