Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship
Inaugurated in July 2000, the UT Southwestern Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship continues to expand and is currently the second largest program in the United States. Few subspecialties will be in greater demand than addiction psychiatry, and our fellowship program features an enriching educational experience that each year provides five fellows the opportunity to become certified in addiction psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Our fellowship's mission is to educate psychiatrists dedicated to the advancement of medical science, education, and health care for persons with substance use disorders in order to increase the numbers of psychiatrists working with persons with substance use disorders and to collaborate with our other medical colleagues to improve the health of their patients.
We use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for our fellowship recruitment.
