How to Apply

Integrated Program

Program size: 5 residents per class

To apply for the Integrated Residency Program, individuals can submit their applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service® (ERAS®). We highly recommend applicants make their scores available for their residency applications. Applications will be holistically and thoroughly reviewed, and interview invitations will be sent out in early November. In-person integrated interviews are held in early January each year. A reception is held the night before the interviews to provide interviewees an opportunity to interact with current residents and faculty members.

Independent Program

Program size: 1 resident per class

Individuals interested in applying to the Independent Residency Program can submit their applications through the SF Match’s Central Application Service (CAS). The interviews for the Independent Program take place in person in March annually. Prior to the interviews, the Department hosts a reception for the interviewees, providing them with an opportunity to interact with current residents and faculty members.
