Neuro-Ophthalmology, Oculoplastic, and Orbital Surgery Fellowship (One Year)
The one-year Neuro-Ophthalmology, Oculoplastic, and Orbital Surgery Fellowship Program provides outstanding hands-on experience in the medical and surgical management of difficult neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastic, and orbital cases in adults, adolescents, and children. Surgical procedures performed by the fellow as primary surgeon include the entire spectrum of neuro-ophthalmic, oculoplastics, and orbital surgery cases.
There is structured interaction with residents in a very busy, high-volume program that uses Parkland Hospital, Children’s Healthâ„ Children’s Medical Center, and John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. In addition, the preceptors admit private patients to Zale Lipshy University Hospital and William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital. All hospitals have fully equipped operating rooms.
Clinics and operating rooms are equipped with advanced technology, including Humphrey visual field analyzers, Heidelberg Retina Topography, Optical Coherence Tomography, high-speed neurosurgical drills for orbit surgery, full surgical endoscopy capabilities, Bran-Lab Imaging, and Sonopet.

Prerequisites
Candidates must have successfully completed ACGME (or Canadian equivalent) accredited ophthalmology residency training and be eligible to obtain a full Texas medical license. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
