Data Policy

  • The EMCF does not back up or archive user data. Users are responsible for preserving their own data.
  • The EMCF provides several networked storage servers for temporary data storage. Please ask the EMCF staff for assistance in transferring your data to the network servers.
  • Users should back up their data after each imaging session by transferring it to an external hard drive or to one of the storage servers. No USB sticks are allowed.
  • The EMCF reserves the right to delete user data from microscope workstations and network servers as necessary and without warning.
