Operations

UT Southwestern's Office of the Provost's Operations team seeks to improve efficiencies so UT Southwestern departments, centers, and schools can pursue the institution's mission. Our goal is to serve as an advocate for UT Southwestern and assist with any request or issue that our departments, centers, and schools face. We also can serve as a liaison outside of academic affairs. As part of our effort to improve operations, we:

• Create and manage programs that incentivize individual and group clinical productivity, clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and basic science and clinical research growth.
• Provide ad hoc support on operational matters to clinical and basic science department administrators.
• Develop and monitor reports to provide departments/executive leadership context to improve performance and make decisions.

Our Services

Support for:

• Research cores
• Shared services, such as the library and graduate medical education
• Focus on Faculty, a portal that summarizes data for faculty

Planning:

• Faculty compensation and incentive plans
• Modeling and fiscal projections

Reporting:

• Data for internal and external reports
• Total professional effort and productivity reports, which show allocation of effort for faculty and advanced practice providers across UT Southwestern's missions

• Special Grant Incentive
• Collaborative Grant Incentive
