For the 2022–2023 academic year, the Ida M. Green Distinguished Visiting Professorship, Honoring Women in Science and Medicine featured Michelle Monje, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Neurology and Neurological Sciences, Investigator, Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Stanford University. She gave a lecture on April 5, 2023 from 4-5p in the D1.600 Lecture Hall, South Campus. The title of her talk was Neuron-glial Interactions in Health and Disease: from Cognition to Cancer.
2021-2022
For the 2021–2022 academic year, the Ida M. Green Distinguished Visiting Professorship, Honoring Women in Science and Medicine featured Jo Handelsman, Ph.D., Director of the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, Vilas Research Professor and Howard Hughes Medical Institute Professor, Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She gave a lecture on April 20, 2022, the title of her talk was A World Without Soil.
