Union Gospel Mission Shelter Clinics
Union Gospel Mission (UGM) is a faith-based organization that provides shelter, education, medical care and other transitional support for homeless individuals throughout DFW. Their two main shelter locations are Center of Hope (serving women and children) and Calvert Place (serving men 18+).
Union Gospel Mission Shelter Clinics
Started as a student organization in fall 2013, the Union Gospel Mission Clinics provide a range of free healthcare services to the men, women, and children of UGM shelters. Homeless populations often face a multitude of barriers to accessing healthcare including cost and lack of continual care, and these clinics aim to bridge this gap when advocating for patients and evaluating their concerns with compassion. Medical students, residents, Physician Assistant students, and other volunteers work together to accomplish this goal.
