Integrating veterinary and human trials must be approached in a manner that carefully addresses ethical, regulatory, aesthetic, and public perception considerations. To achieve this, the Veterinary Research and Oncology Clinic has created a dedicated Internal Advisory Committee, which is actively involved in developing protocols for companion animal trials, refining the auditing process, establishing informed consent guidelines, and ensuring the proper use of controlled drugs for comparative oncology research.
