Movement Disorders Research
The Movement Section has a robust portfolio of research into the basic disease mechanisms in cerebellar disorders and dystonia. Faculty are also engaged in epidemiologic studies aimed towards understanding disease pathogenesis in tremor. We have seven faculty investigators with extramural funding. Our faculty-led research laboratories within the Peter O’Donnell Jr. Brain Institute have a national reputation for advancing the understanding of disease in cerebellar disorders, dystonia, and tremor.
