Governance Committee
This is a decision-making committee regarding major equipment purchases, site planning/construction, business plans, priority of PET tracer production and research activities, and programmatic development of the Cyclotron and Radiochemistry facility. Its responsibilities include:
- Interact with the Internal Advisory Board, Clinical Advisory Committee, business partners, and external consultants to make plans and final decisions for the Cyclotron team to execute
- Facilitate problem-solving and minimize conflicts
- Report to the Dean's Office with anticipated progress and obtain solutions to unexpected problems when necessary.

Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is composed of leading investigators from the major user groups identified for the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas Cyclotron Grant application. Its responsibilities include:
- Provide scientific oversight of the Cyclotron and Radiochemistry Program
- Meet with the governance body to review the progress of radiotracer production and delivery in previous years and set the priorities for radiotracer production and development in coming years
- Review the progress of radiotracer production and delivery
- Facilitate scientific integration of on-campus research activities with the existing preclinical or human PET imaging capabilities
- Assist the cyclotron team in working with faculty users to maximize efficient use of the facility and with the UT Southwestern administration to address structural and operational needs.

Clinical Advisory Committee
Consisting of major clinicians on-campus with potential interest in PET services, the Clinical Advisory Committee directs the production of clinical PET radiotracers. Its responsibilities include:
- Facilitate translational research and first-in-humans trials with novel PET tracers
- Provide guidance for clinical services and research activities with PET tracers
- Discuss regularly unmet clinical needs with the CRP
- Assist the CRP in compliance with FDA regulations governing PET drugs in humans
- Bridge the gap between basic science and clinical needs.
