As UT Southwestern continues to grow and improve to serve our patients and the community, construction closures, traffic re-routing, and parking changes are sometimes required. This page will provide you with the latest updates on these developments. Your understanding and patience are greatly appreciated as we work to enhance our campus.
Starting Sept. 23, 2024
Harry Hines Boulevard northbound and southbound at Record Crossing
There will be alternating lane closures at this intersection affecting all directions of traffic on both streets until further notice for underground utility improvements.
Starting Oct. 7, 2024
Paul M. Bass Way westbound near the Cancer Care Outpatient Building (NM)
The far-right lane will be closed until further notice to accommodate UTSW construction.
Starting Oct. 13, 2024
UT Southwestern Drive
UT Southwestern Drive will be closed to through traffic between Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison Drive and Southwestern Medical Avenue Oct. 13–Dec. 7 for crews to replace buried utility pipes. A new pedestrian pathway route to building M/S and K/J will be added.
UTSW shuttles and other UTSW vehicles will still have access to the Facilities Management Administration building (P) service yard. Access to the loading docks of the Moss Building (J) and the Jonsson Building (K) will be available for deliveries only coming from Southwestern Medical Avenue to the south.
Starting Oct. 15, 2024
Northbound Harry Hines Boulevard between Record Crossing and Mockingbird Lane
The far-right lane will be closed until further notice for underground utility improvements.
Starting Dec. 2, 2024
Forest Park Road between Treadway Street and Bomar Avenue
Forest Park Road will be closed between Treadway Street and Bomar Avenue until 2027.
