Curriculum
The cardiovascular and pulmonary residency curriculum is structured from the American Physical Therapy Association's description of advanced clinical practice. The curriculum includes independent self-paced lectures, independent quiz review, and comprehensive case studies. Didactic content correlates with structured laboratory and clinical learning opportunities under the supervision of accomplished clinical instructors, faculty, or physicians. UTSW residency programs also include specialized leadership training formulated by the Office of Development and Training in the university in order to prepare the residency graduate for professional leadership opportunities in their future careers.
