How often is the UTSW Coach Certificate Program offered?
Starting in 2024, the UTSW CCP will be offered every two years with off years having two offerings of the Coaching Skills for Leaders workshop.
How many faculty can participate in the UTSW Coach Certificate Program?
Enrollment is limited to 12 faculty. Faculty are chosen based on their ability to commit to all the requirements for the course, their commitment to championing coaching in their local spheres of influence after completion of their program, and their vision for how they will utilize the skills they learn to foster a coaching culture at UT Southwestern.
I’m not a faculty member, but I am an employee. Can I join the UTSW Coach Certificate Program?
Starting in 2024, there will be a maximum of 12 additional spots in the UTSW Coach Certificate Program. Interested staff must confirm they can commit to the course requirements, have roles in which they can champion coaching in their local environments, and have support from their leadership to pay the costs required to cover the mentor coach and group learning activities.
What are the costs of the program?
The program is free for faculty through monetary support from Faculty Affairs for the 12 faculty participants. For non-faculty, the cost of the program is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $3,000. This covers the costs of mentor coaching, performance review, and classroom time and supplies. All participants are required to provide a minimum of 15 hours of coaching to clients from UTSW.
