Performance Excellence & Quality Management (formerly CS&E)
Performance Excellence and Quality Management (PExQM) provides faculty and staff with the tools needed to initiate and maintain change. In addition to numerous teams from UT Southwestern, our PExQM program has hosted teams from Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Parkland Health & Hospital System, Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, and the Ontario (Canada) Ministry of Health.
Classes meet four times over a a period of three to four months, and participants present their quality improvement (QI) projects one to two months following the last class.
PExQM course content is subject to speaker availability and will vary slightly from course to course. To avoid the inconvenience of making up classes on several different days of the next course, we strongly suggest that participants make every effort to be present for all classes in which they are enrolled. Participants must attend all course modules and complete a quality improvement project in order to graduate and receive a certificate of completion.
