Research within the PM&R Department
We encourage medical students interested in our Department’s research to refer to our Research Programs page for more information. You can also contact individual faculty members who have interests which align with yours to discuss possible research endeavors.
UT Southwestern PM&R Student Interest Group
We have a large and active PM&R Student Interest Group (SIG) at UT Southwestern Medical Center, headed by a team of dedicated officers. SIG hosts a monthly lecture series in which PM&R faculty give presentations on topics such as Sports Medicine, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Concussion, and Cancer Rehabilitation. The student group also sponsors volunteer opportunities within PM&R and the community (such as staffing the Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon medical coverage, charity walks, and health fairs), and helps to promote awareness of PM&R throughout UT Southwestern Medical School.
