Application Requirements
The UT Southwestern Administrative Fellowship prepares recent graduates and early careerists for essential management and leadership roles within the health care industry. The format of the fellowship programs allows fellows to gain direct experience, knowledge, and strengthen essential administrative skills. As a UT Southwestern Administrative Fellow you will:
- Attain managerial proficiencies in negotiation, analytical, and quantitative skills
- Gain and develop knowledge of organizational dynamics from working with managers at various levels of the health care system
- Receive individualized mentoring from a wide array of administrators and physicians
- Establish a performance rapport through projects and departmental objectives
- Develop leadership skills

- Current resume
- Unofficial graduate school transcripts of completed courses from a program accredited by one of the following:
- M.H.A. – Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME)
- MBA – Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
- M.S.N. – Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- M.P.H. – Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)
- Three letters of recommendation (at least one faculty). Applicants should address their three letters of recommendation to the Fellowship Selection Committee.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Administrative Fellow is responsible for the completion of projects assigned by UT Southwestern and the administrative leadership team. Project involvement will require collaborative participation within a multidisciplinary setting. Additional projects will be assigned on an individual basis that reflects the needs of the assigned departmental rotation.
As an executive team member, responsibilities will include involvement as a lead, co-lead, and facilitator of executive meetings. The Administrative Fellow will directly report to the Director of Program Operations, University Hospital.
