Become a Standardized Patient
A standardized patient (SP) is a person who’s been trained to portray a sick patient in an encounter with a health care professional. SPs are also trained to evaluate the learner and provide effective feedback from a patient’s perspective.
Qualifications to become a standardized patient include:
- Proficiency with the English language, both oral and written
- Good memorization skills
- Great attention to detail
- Coachable
- Commitment
- Comfortable with your own health and body
No acting experience is needed.
