Eligibility & Admissions Process

Information about the application process to the Medical Physics Track of the Biomedical Engineering Program can be found here.

Important dates:

  • Aug. 1: Applications open
  • Dec. 1: Application deadline
  • January–March: Interviews and offers made
  • April 15: Applicants must inform graduate school of decision
  • Mid-August: Courses and rotations begin

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a strong background in basic physics, as demonstrated either by an undergraduate or graduate degree in physics, or by a degree in an engineering discipline or another of the physical sciences and with coursework that is the equivalent of a minor in physics (i.e., one that includes at least three upper-level undergraduate physics courses that would be required for a physics major).
  • Applicants must meet general requirements of Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

Unless noted otherwise, this is the number of applicants who declared medical physics as one of their interested tracks. An applicant may declare multiple tracks of interest when submitting their applications.

*We accepted one student transferred from the Biomedical and Molecular Imaging Track of the Biomedical Engineering program.
