Monthly Skull Base Conference
A monthly skull base conference discusses challenging cases of the lateral and anterior skull base. The conference is attended by neurotology, rhinology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, radiation oncology, and oncology.
Bimonthly Skull Base Grand Rounds
A current skull base topic is presented by faculty and fellows and attended by otolaryngology, neurosurgery, and radiation oncology faculty and residents. The neurotology fellow will give two grand rounds during the two years.
Temporal Bone Lab
A monthly temporal bone lab occurs in our 16-station, state-of-the-art temporal bone lab. The fellow is involved with giving lectures and teaching residents.
Monthly Conference Day
One Friday every month is a dedicated Friday conference day. The conference day consists of visiting professors, faculty lectures, and grand rounds presentations. Journal club occurs during the conference day. Two conference days a year are dedicated to otology and neurotology. This is a great opportunity for fellows to meet and network with leaders in the field of otology.
Vestibular Conference
A multidisciplinary vestibular conference is held monthly. The conference includes grand rounds-style lectures and case discussions. Lectures are delivered by otology, audiology, neurology, and psychiatry.
Pediatric Neuroradiology Conference
The faculty, fellows, and residents meet monthly with the Tim Booth, MD, Chief of Neuroradiology at Children’s Health Dallas. Interesting pediatric radiology cases are reviewed with input from participants.
Cochlear Implant Conference
A monthly cochlear implant conference takes place in conjunction with the cochlear implant audiologists at the University of Texas at Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders. The purpose of the conference is to discuss pediatric cochlear implant candidates in a multidisciplinary setting.
