  • William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital

To meet a greater-than-expected need for specialty patient care in North Texas and the surrounding states, UT Southwestern completed a $502 million expansion of the hospital. The 12-story third tower serves as the clinical home for the Peter O'Donnell Jr. Brain Institute and adds operating rooms and interventional suites. This focus on quality, safety, and efficiency – combined with the expertise of our caregivers and the use of advanced technology – means that Clements University Hospital offers a level of care and medical sophistication unparalleled in this region. In fact, the hospital has received a national Vizient Rising Star Award for its quality and safety efforts, being recognized as the most patient-centered academic medical center, as well as among the top 10 institutions in diminished mortality rates in the country on the Vizient Scorecard, a national database that includes 95% of academic medical centers in the U.S. and Canada.
