Point-of-Care Ultrasound Rotation Didactics

Over the course of the rotation, learners will experience a curriculum through a variety of didactics, providing the building blocks for a career in point-of-care ultrasound.

Hands-on Teaching

Ultrasound faculty and fellows will provide bedside teaching to all rotators. Each rotator will learn how to operate ultrasound machines proficiently and how to obtain adequate images for each of the core scans.

Lectures

Learners will attend focused lectures reviewing each core topic. These lectures will incorporate the review of ultrasound images and learners will practice interpreting these images.

Online Videos

In-depth lecture videos on each core topic are provided at the beginning of the rotation. Learners will watch these prior to lectures of the corresponding topic.

Required Reading

Key journal articles are provided to review literature on relevant ultrasound topics.
