The UT Southwestern Emergency Medical Services Fellowship Program accepts two fellows per year. We participate in the  National Resident Matching Program  and applicants must participate as well.

Application Process

Fellowship application requirements include completion of the Department application form and National Matching Program registration.

In addition, applicants must provide:

• United States Medical Licensing Examination  (Steps 1-3)
• Current Curriculum Vitae
• Personal statement
• Recent headshot
• Reference letters (3 minimum, one of which must be from a program director)
• Copy of board certificates (if any)
• Medical School certificate
• Medical licenses (if any)

The application timeline for this fellowship is:

• June 2023
  Application submission window opens
• August 16, 2023
  NRMP opens for candidates and programs
• Mid-August 2023 through October 2023
  Virtual interviews
• October 1, 2023
  Application submission deadline
• October 25, 2023
  NRMP Rank Order List Certification deadline
• November 8, 2023
  Match Day
• July 1, 2024
  Fellowship begins
