Education & Training
Physiology is a core discipline underlying biomedical sciences and clinical medicine. As such, faculty members have significant participation and exhibit excellence in educating trainees at all levels.
Our faculty has major commitments to education in the Medical School, the School of Health Professions, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Faculty members:
- Organize and teach in the Medical School, as well as the Human Physiology course in the School of Health Professions
- Teach in many courses offered in the basic sciences at the Graduate School
- Are active members of all eight graduate programs and several have leadership positions in the Graduate School, including Helen Yin, Ph.D., Program Chair for Mechanisms of Disease and Translational Science
- They are dissertation mentors for many Ph.D. and M.D./Ph.D. students and train postdoctoral scholars.
