End of Flu Season 2024
UT Southwestern Colleagues:
We are pleased to report that given the steadily declining number of flu cases over the past month in Dallas County, across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, and at UT Southwestern, we have reached the end of the 2023-2024 influenza season. The decision was made in accordance with institutional policy and data from Dallas County Health and Human Services.
Please note that precautions to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including influenza, must continue to be practiced at all times. These measures include adhering to strict hand hygiene, covering your cough, staying home if you are ill, and not allowing sick visitors in patient care areas.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call Infection Prevention at 214-633-4699 or 214-633-4678.
