Driveway closes, two shuttle routes change

With the driveway closing behind the Meadows MRI building beginning Monday, June 13, riders on the Hospital Express shuttle and DART 422 will see some changes the same day.

The Hospital Express bus will pass the driveway for Zale Lipshy Pavilion and turn right from Harry Hines Boulevard onto Medical District Drive, turn right at the Motor Street Garage, also known as the Medical District Faculty Staff Garage, then turn right into the breezeway at the Charles Sprague Building. There’s no change to the route from Sprague to William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital.

Also, DART 422 will be rerouted to add a stop at James W. Aston Ambulatory Care Center. The bus will stop at these locations:

• TRE Medical/Market Center
• James W. Aston Ambulatory Care Center
• South Campus
• Moody Center (Parkland)
• UT Southwestern/Parkland DART rail station

Shuttle route changes are to prepare for the demolition of the neighboring former Parkland Memorial Hospital, which is expected to begin in July.
