Video: Cristo Rey student shares what UTSW student program has meant to her

Since 2018, four high schoolers from Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep each year have been assigned to UT Southwestern. They spend 30 hours a week cumulatively assisting numerous departments within our hospital and gaining a well-rounded education about health care in the process.

This video shows one of those students, Leilany Garcia, now a Junior at Cristo Rey, talking about what the program has meant to her.

Additionally, on March 1, Leilany was in the audience as her school presented UT Southwestern with a Bill Miller Corporate Leadership Award.
