Gold pins for the best of the best
Business Affairs leaders recognized their 2022 PACT Gold recipients Wednesday afternoon with an ice cream social and awards ceremony, presenting each honoree with a gold lapel pin and a certificate of appreciation.
“It’s important that we take time to say ‘thank you’ to those who exemplify our institution’s values in the way they support their UTSW colleagues and provide care for those we serve,” said Holly Crawford, M.B.A., Executive Vice President for Business Affairs. “It is important to highlight the work these employees do every day to make this organization great.”
In all, Business Affairs leaders recognized 47 employees. Check out the full list of employees honored with Gold Pins.
“These kinds of events shine a light on the employees who make UTSW a great place to work and to receive care,” said Suzanne Farmer, Ph.D., Assistant Vice President for Organizational Development and Training, “but they also encourage their colleagues to give their best and live out our core values every day.”
The PACT Program is an ongoing institution-wide initiative that encourages employees to recognize staff and physicians for their demonstration of PACT standards (problem solving; ability, attitude, and accountability; communications and compassion; and teamwork).
Recognition can come from managers, co-workers, internal or external customers, faculty, patients, or visitors.
“All departments are encouraged to recognize PACT awardees, especially those who have achieved Gold-level status,” Dr. Farmer said.
Employees who earn four, eight, and 16 PACT cards are presented with blue, silver, and gold pins, respectively.
“It’s a small token of appreciation that represents a deep gratitude we have for these employees,” Ms. Crawford said. “They’re the people who make UT Southwestern the institution it is today. These are employees and faculty who demonstrate our organization’s values through quality customer service.”
