Celebrate Women's History Month in March
Join the Women’s & Allies Business Resource Group (BRG) for UT Southwestern’s inaugural celebration of Women’s History Month. For more than 40 years, Women’s History Month has been celebrated in March to honor the contributions and achievements women have made in the United States and internationally. We invite you to register for the virtual events and celebrations held throughout the month recognizing the amazing power of women in our workforce.
Two signature events will be hosted in partnership with the Office of Institutional Equity & Access’ Division of Diversity & Inclusion on March 8 and March 31:
- March 8, noon: International Women’s Day Celebration – Women & Allies BRG signature event held in partnership with the Office of Institutional Equity & Access’ Division of Diversity & Inclusion. Opening remarks will be provided by Dr. Daniel K. Podolsky.
- March 31, noon: Women’s Month Commencement Celebration – Held in partnership with the Office of Institutional Equity & Access’ Division of Diversity & Inclusion.
Other events this month include:
- March 4, noon: Mental Health Lunch & Learn: Resilience and Self-care – Featuring UT Southwestern Assistant Professor Jennifer Hughes, Ph.D., MPH.
- March 5, all day: National Employee Appreciation Day – Submit a PACT card for a woman at UTSW who has positively influenced you.
- March 10, noon: Women’s Month Mindfulness Session
- March 18, 6 p.m.: Book Club Workshop – Dare to Lead by Dr. Brene Brown
- March 23, noon: Book Club Workshop – Dare to Lead by Dr. Brene Brown – In case you miss the March 18 discussion, a second session will be offered.
- March 24, noon: WoMENTORSHIP In the Workplace Workshop
- March 29, noon: Cover Letter Workshop with UTSW’s Talent Acquisition representatives
