Nominate now! Nurse Excellence Award submissions due April 17

Nurses Week is always a special time at UT Southwestern, and this year, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, recognition of our nurses takes on even more resonance.

We are gearing up to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and courage of all UTSW nurses, May 6-12, which also will feature UTSW's fifth annual Nurse Excellence Awards.

The Nurses Week Committee invites you to nominate a UTSW nursing peer and/or colleague for the internal awards program.

​Is there a nurse in your orbit who makes your shift brighter – someone who is an excellent role model and leader, compassionate caregiver, and significant contributor? Is there a nurse who has made a significant impact on your life or regular workday?

Any member of UTSW academic or hospital university staff, administration, faculty, or student body may nominate a full- or part-time member of the nursing team for this award in one of the following categories:

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • Clinical Educator
  • Frontline Care Provider
  • Leaders of Nursing
  • Ambulatory
  • Friend of Nursing
