Recycling roadshows are visiting you this week
What goes in the blue bin? How can we facilitate “special recycling?”
At UTSW, recycling practices can be categorized in three ways:
- Everyday recycling: Cardboard, paper, plastic containers, metal cans
- Special recycling: Ink jet/toner cartridges, batteries, electronics, and more
- Really special recycling: Metal, plastic film, Styrofoam, pallets
Perhaps this is a little daunting. Don’t worry – UTSW’s Green Champions are here to help.
To celebrate Texas Recycles Day this Nov. 15, Green Champions are sponsoring Recycling 101 classes across campus. These 30-minute roadshows are open to anyone interested in learning more about recycling on campus. Attendees might have questions about recycling at home, too – our Green Champions are happy to answer any questions.
