Submit a photo showing your reason to celebrate Nurses Week, and see it on Center Times Plus
In 1993, the American Nurses Association declared May 6-12 as the national week to celebrate and elevate the nursing profession. National Nurses Week is a time for everyone – individuals, employers, other health care professionals, community leaders, and nurses – to recognize the vast contributions and positive impact of America’s 4 million registered nurses.
This year’s Nurses Week theme is “4 Million Reasons to Celebrate” and we want you to share yours – in photo form of course!
What is your nurse-related reason to celebrate? If you’re a nurse, maybe it’s something (or someone) that makes your job easier. If you’re in another health care position, maybe it’s an individual nurse that brightens your work day. Or maybe you have some other noteworthy nugget. Here’s what to do:
- Send us a photo. It can be of yourself, or the person or team that you’d like to celebrate as part of Nurses Week.
- Give us a few words about your choice: Keep it to 50 words or less.
- campus.updates@utsouthwestern.edu your photo and text by Friday, May 3. We’ll include as many images as we can, and share the gallery with the entire institution during Nurses Week.
- During Nurses Week, share your photos on social media and use #utswnursesrock and #NursesWeek.
