Medical District Drive lane closures Oct. 7-Dec. 16

Beginning Monday, Oct. 7, and running through Dec. 16, Medical District Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction as part of the Medical District Drive expansion project (see map below). The Zale Lipshy Pavilion staff garage and loading dock, as well as parking lots for Children’s Health Medical Center will be accessible, but congestion may result. Electronic signs will be placed at key locations to alert drivers of the planned lane reductions and detour signs will direct drivers starting next week. 

 Northbound Stemmons Freeway (I-35E) and Northbound Medical District Drive

To avoid traffic congestion on Medical District Drive, continue northbound on the Stemmons Freeway service road, past the Medical District Drive intersection to the Inwood Road intersection. Turn right onto Inwood Road and proceed north.

Southbound Stemmons Freeway (I-35E) and Northbound Inwood Road

To avoid traffic congestion on Medical District Drive, head southbound on Stemmons Freeway and take the Inwood Road exit. Proceed onto the service road to the Inwood Road intersection. Turn left onto Inwood Road and proceed north.
