May is Internal Audit Awareness Month! But wait – what is internal audit? The Office of Internal Audit (OIA) provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services to UT Southwestern Medical Center. OIA partners with management in identifying and mitigating risks. Services OIA provides include financial, operational, compliance, and information technology audits; investigations; consulting engagements; internal control and fraud awareness training; and serving on committees and workgroups to help provide insights for solving problems and identifying solutions.
