Volunteers needed for HealthFest at KwanzaaFest, Dec. 14-15
Volunteers are needed to register vendors, work in the KidFest and Prize Center areas, assist with setup on Friday (day and evening), oversee the 5K Walk/Run on Saturday morning, and collect tickets at the door.
Nasher Sculpture Center's art and health discussion series features presenters from O’Donnell Brain Institute
This series presents the stories of artists who creatively respond to mental and physical health issues through their artwork. By creating dialogue between experts in the discipline of art and those in the field of medicine and health, these programs offer the opportunity to better understand the mind, the body and the resilience of people facing incredible challenges.
Hamon Biomedical Research Building entrance and two floors to close Sunday morning
To allow for the replacement of two roof-mounted exhaust fans, the area at the front entrance of the Hamon Biomedical Research Building (NA) off Harry Hines, including the circular drive and entrances to the garage, will be closed from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.
