Forest Park Road Crosswalks Renovation Project starts Monday, Feb. 18

Update March 5: Intermittent lane closures will continue on Forrest Park Road through May 3. Affected DART Bus Stops will be temporarily moved and clearly identified.

Starting Monday, Feb. 18, the Forest Park Road Crosswalks Renovation Project will renovate curbs, sidewalks, road and crossing lane striping, and install a flashing beacon at the intersection of Forest Park Road and Bomar Avenue.

Crews are scheduled between 7 a.m.-3 p.m., and the work will involve temporary barricades, cones and lane closures during the workday. Depending on the work, in addition to cones and barricades, flaggers may be posted.

Work will affect the following areas:

Feb. 18-26: Curbs at the intersection of Treadway Street and Forest Park Road

Feb. 18-March 1: Northeast side midblock crossing on Forest Park Road, between Treadway and Bomar. Temporary crossing areas will be marked.

Feb. 18-March 1: Northeast side midblock crossing on Forest Park Road, between Bomar and Stutz Drive. Temporary crossing areas will be marked.
