Epic upgrade and downtime schedule for Oct. 12

Attention Epic users! Information Resources will upgrade UTSW’s electronic medical record application, Epic, on Saturday, Oct. 12, with enhancements that will improve overall workflows and assist in time management for end users.

In order to implement the upgrade, the system will be unavailable from 1-5 a.m. on Oct. 12.

Information Resources will have analysts on site to provide support Oct. 12-19 at William P. Clements University Hospital, Zale Lipshy Pavillion – William P. Clements University Hospital, and the ambulatory clinics.

Also, a command center staffed by Information Resources analysts will be available to assist with questions that may arise during that first week following the upgrade.
