Office of Safety and Business Continuity emergency management drill, May 30

The UT Southwestern Office of Safety and Business Continuity will be conducting a campuswide emergency management drill from 8 a.m.-noon Thursday, May 30. Emergency drills allow us to evaluate our current emergency procedures and help us better prepare for potential emergencies in the future.

The May 30 drill will involve launching emergency operations centers at the campus level, our hospitals, and outpatient clinical operations, along with testing communications for a simulated weather emergency. The drill will be transparent to the campus community and will not impact routine daily operations. Those involved in the drill have been or will be informed by their supervisors.

This is a good time for all departments to review their departmental emergency and business continuity plans, as well as ensure all emergency contact and notification information is accurate and up to date.
