Send us photos of yourself – showing off proper sun protection – to celebrate 'Don't Fry Day' this Friday

Umbrellas are for more than just drizzle. That favorite hat of yours – more than a fashion statement. Sunscreen? Well, mostly it's for protecting your skin, but you can draw with it, too.

There are so many ways to protect your skin this summer, and we want to see your special tactics for our next Your Life@UTSW photo gallery!

  1. Get your fun or goofy summer accessories and protect your skin from the sun!
  2. Get outside on your own or with your colleagues – then snap a photo for Center Times Plus. (For a little added fun, print this sign and include it in the photo.)
  3. campus.updates@utsouthwestern.edu your submissions to campus.updates@utsouthwestern.edu. Please identify the name and department of everyone in the photo.
  4. Share it on your favorite social media platform with the hashtags #utswcancer and #SunSafety.

For inspiration, we offer a few snaps from the team at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. Thanks to (clockwise from top left) Dr. John Sweetenham, Professor of Internal Medicine; Sara Pirzadeh-Miller, Assistant Director of the Cancer Genetics program; Stephanie Clayton, Associate Vice President of Cancer Programs; and Dr. Thomas Froehlich, Professor of Internal Medicine.

We'll share the gallery with the institution as part of the Cancer Center’s Conquering Cancer activities (and more are coming soon)!
