New weekly campus communications to provide news to know, employee features: Campus News - UT Southwestern, Dallas, Texas

You’re familiar with Campus Update, the weekly e-newsletter for all UT Southwestern staff, faculty, and students. This is how it looks now:

Old Campus Update email

Beginning next week, Campus Update will get a completely new look, and you’ll receive more lifestyle content in a new, second weekly e-newsletter, Life@UTSW. Here’s what you’ll see:

  • Campus Update will continue to include timely announcements about important developments at UT Southwestern and activities available on campus, such as continuing education, wellness events, clinical research participation, and more. You’ll find it in your inboxes on Tuesday afternoons. Content sections include:
    • Reminders: Departmental and operational announcements that will help you navigate your regular work day on campus.
    • Events: Important lectures, training sessions, networking opportunities, and other gatherings that have a set date or deadline (included events have a broad audience reach, are interdisciplinary, and/or are open to the entire campus).
    • Featured: Priority employee engagement announcement or coverage of a recent event.
    • Clinical Research: Opportunities to volunteer for one of the many clinical research trials happening on campus.

  • Life@UTSW will showcase employee features and lifestyle content. Life@UTSW will be delivered to your inbox on Thursday afternoons. Content sections include:
    • Featured News: Stories that share the positive difference our employees are making on the job.
    • Honors@UTSW: Celebrating our successes! (Let us know if your department or an employee receives a formal recognition, either internally or externally, for work-related activities.)
    • Social@UTSW: Highlights of some of our exciting social media initiatives, including Facebook Live events, fun engagement activities, and other announcements related to our various social media accounts.
    • News@UTSW: All the latest from the UTSW Newsroom.
    • One Last Thing: It’s a surprise!
