Annual enrollment is now open
Annual enrollment for 2018 began Sunday, July 15, and lasts until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, July 31. Elections made during the enrollment period are effective Sept. 1, 2018. You should have received your enrollment instructions and personal identification number (PIN) from benefits@utsouthwestern.edu.
Enrollment can be completed online and you must re-enroll in the UT FLEX plan to participate for the 2018-2019 benefit plan year. New for 2018-2019 is the UT CONNECT medical plan option, administered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. The plan offers reduced out-of-pocket costs – including lower deductibles, copays, and monthly premiums for dependent coverage. Through the Southwestern Health Resources Network, the plan provides access to over 4,200 physicians (all UT Southwestern physicians, Texas Health Physicians Group, and other affiliated physicians in the DFW area), all UT Southwestern hospitals, Texas Health Resources hospitals, Children’s Health, and Cook Children’s Medical Center. Members also have access to urgent care centers and thousands of community physicians located throughout North Texas.
To receive benefits through UT CONNECT, a primary care physician (PCP) participating in the network must coordinate care, and all care must come from within the network. View the provider information page to confirm if your current provider is in the UT CONNECT network. If you do not see a physician listed, contact customer service as the network is still changing.
There are no premium rate increases for UT Benefits programs. Employees can also see a reduction in premium cost for the UT SELECT Dental Basic PPO and DeltaCare Dental HMO (Delta Dental) plans and the short-term disability benefit option.
