Not sure who to call for an administrative service question or issue at UTSW? Dial 5-HELP or 5-0000
UT Southwestern’s Office of Business Affairs has made it easier for faculty, staff, students, and customers to reach the right administrative services quickly by calling either of these two easy-to-remember extensions: 5-HELP or 5-0000 (or phone numbers: 214-645-HELP or 214-645-0000 from outside of UT Southwestern’s telephone network).
The new Administrative Services helpline features an automated menu of service choices to route the caller to the right area. You also have the choice to press 9 at the beginning if your need is beyond Administrative Services – such as Academic Departments, University Hospitals and Clinics, or if you’re trying to reach an employee by name.
For Administrative Services questions and issues, callers are directed to press a number for the service they need to reach or say the keyword to a service or a department name, such as “parking,” “information resources,” “accounting,” “payroll,” and “facilities.” Callers can also expect live operator support 24/7 by pressing the number 0.
“The purpose of this new streamlined help line is to improve efficiency and quality of service,” said Arnim Dontes, Executive Vice President for Business Affairs. “Before, callers had to know the specific phone number of the business department they needed, or had to search online or through email for that contact.”
