Dr. Peterson oversees UT Southwestern’s growing clinical research enterprise, focusing on collaboration, and harnessing the collective resources of UT Southwestern Medical School, the newly established Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health, UT Southwestern hospitals and ambulatory facilities, and affiliates such as Parkland, Children’s Health, and Texas Health Resources.

Dr. Pappu serves as the Associate Vice President for Clinical Research Services. In this role, he facilitates clinical research in all disciplines of medicine across UT Southwestern and affiliated institutions by providing strategic, operational, and financial oversight of clinical research programs, facilities, research information systems, and human resources.

As Associate Dean for Clinical Research Workforce Development, Dr. Jacobe is creating training and development programs to meet the long-term career needs of the clinical and translational research workforce – including faculty, staff, students, trainees, nurses, and allied health professionals.

Associate Dean, Translational Science in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
Dr. Toto is the Director of the Center for Translational Medicine and oversees its administrative core. The goal of the UTSW CTSA is to advance the science of research translation, engage patients and the North Texas area, and provide tools, methods, and best practices to improve the health of the communities we serve.

Associate Dean for Data Sciences
As Associate Dean for Data Sciences, Dr. Xie works with the Provost’s Office, Information Resources, academic leaders, and key faculty to expand quantitative and data science capabilities and expertise at UT Southwestern. Dr. Xie endeavors to promote and develop innovative data science and artificial intelligence research for biomedicine and population health.
