Jakub Furmaga, M.D.

Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Jakub Furmaga's areas of interest include occupational health, clinical informatics, medical toxicology, drug testing, and laboratory medicine. He graduated University of Texas Health and Science Center at San Antonio Medical School in 2010, completed his Emergency Medicine residency at MetroHealth/Cleveland Clinic in 2013, and finished a clinical fellowship in Medical Toxicology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2015. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology, and Clinical Informatics. In 2022, he became Medical Director of Occupational Health.

Marvin E. King, PA-C, M.H.P.E.

Advanced Practice Provider for the Occupational Health Clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center

Marvin E. King's areas of interest include occupational medicine, family wellness, and orthopedic injuries. He attended Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, and graduated with his Physician Assistant and Masters of Health Professions Education degrees in 2004. He was a recipient of the National Health Service Corp scholarship and worked in an underserved healthcare shortage area as his first job, developing a strong clinical background and a love for helping others. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1987-1992 and participated in the Desert Storm crisis as a Medical Laboratory Specialist. He is a fellow member of both the Academy of Physician Assistants and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
