Do you know how to spot a travel scam?

luggage

Keep security top of mind when you are planning to travel. Cybercriminals attempt to lure people into travel-related schemes designed to steal money or credit card information. Scams may include fraudulent rental home listings, offers of free trips, or fake airline websites that sell fictitious tickets.

  • Before making a purchase, research the reputation of any company you haven't dealt with before.
  • Don't assume an ad or website is safe because you see recognizable logos and brand names.
  • Be wary of any advertised travel deals that seem too good to be true.
  • Click carefully on email links and attachment downloads.
