Safeguard your data through ISAC
Campus departments have a responsibility to ensure that the technology they acquire first meets security and compliance requirements and is approved by the Information Systems Acquisition Committee (ISAC), which governs the acquisitions of information systems, software, and related equipment.
- Review the ISAC website before making a purchase.
- Review previously submitted ISACs to see if other departments have experience with the technology.
- Take the five-question ISAC quiz and review common acquisitions that require review, such as cloud (internet-based) applications or systems storing or processing data outside of UTSW.
- Submit the ISAC Approval Form if you answered yes to any of the questions on the quiz.
- Consult meeting and submission deadlines.
